AESIN Conference 2022

On Thursday 1st September 2022, LDRA attended the 2022 AESIN Conference at the National Conference Centre.

This event is the show-piece of the Automotive Electronics Systems Innovation Network (AESIN) calendar. It brings together a mix of the UK’s automotive industry to discuss matters as diverse as the semiconductor shortage and vehicle-infrastructure communications via safety, security and verification.

LDRA were represented by long-serving Sales Manager Dex Daniels, accompanied by Field Application Engineer Adam Johnston, on his first event since joining the company. They were showcasing the latest developments in the LDRA tool suite.

Meanwhile, in the conference hall, Andrew Banks brought the conference to a close with a presentation entitled MISRA C in an ISO 26262 context, tying together many of the themes of the day, whilst highlighting the contribution of the MISRA consortium over nearly 30 years. This seemed an appropriate way of closing an event whose tag-line this year was Championing Champions!

Andrew Banks

Andrew Banks is a Technical Specialist at LDRA with more than 30 years’ experience of high-integrity real-time/embedded software development.

A Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society, he graduated from the University of Lancaster in 1989, and has spent most of his career within the aerospace, defence and automotive sectors.

Andrew is committed to standards development – he has been involved with MISRA since 2007 and has been Chairman of the MISRA C Working Group since early 2013; he is the Chairman of the BSI “Software Testing” Working Group; and an active participant in other BSI, ISO, IET and SCSC work, including the 2nd Edition of ISO 26262.
