Why LDRA?

Why LDRA?

About Us

In the early 1970s, a young Professor Michael A. Hennell of the University of Liverpool needed to assess the quality of the mathematical libraries on which his nuclear physics work depended. Just a few years later, 1975 saw LDRA established to commercialize the numerical software test bed that was spawned from Professor Hennell’s research.

Today’s LDRA continues to develop and drive the market for software tools that automate code analysis and software testing for safety-, mission-, security-, and business-critical markets. In tandem with our customer-focused certification services and consultancy offerings, LDRA tools achieve early error identification and elimination, tracing requirements through static and dynamic analysis to unit testing and verification for a wide variety of hardware and software platforms.

The LDRA commitment

It is central to our attitude toward business that we understand your needs and aspirations in achieving your critical embedded software aims – whether they are to achieve certification targets, or to simply improve software quality. We are committed to being at your side to overcome your development challenges in the development of critical embedded software. We aspire to win your approval not only when things go well, but also in supporting you when there are difficulties. And we look to provide outstanding value through unparalleled products and services both at the beginning of our relationship and into the future.

A global presence

We are proud of our ability to partner your development teams wherever they are located. LDRA has headquarters in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, and India.

In regions where we do not have a direct presence, LDRA collaborates with channel partners who align with our dedication to excellence. These partners are instrumental in guaranteeing that our clients consistently access top-tier service and solutions, regardless of their geographical location.

Independently verified quality

LDRA products are designed to be used on critical applications. That’s why we have always taken the quality of our products very seriously. The company’s Quality Management System has been ISO 9001 certified since 1993, and LDRA products were first TÜV approved in 2013.

TÜV and ISO approvals each say something a little different about LDRA and its products. ISO 9001 certification demonstrates LDRA’s ability to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. And TÜV approval of software test tools further confirms the capabilities of the products, and their capacity to meet the exacting demands of the world’s predominant functional safety standards.

Our technical pedigree

Our involvement in standards committees across the world does more than just demonstrate our unmatched expertise. It ensures that any advice or guidance we offer to our clients is coming from an informed industry expert. That can only be of benefit to our customers.
