Early in the 2010s, a number of incidents helped break down any complacency surrounding the security of connected cars. Police intervention to shut down a stolen car by compromising the 2012 GM OnStar system helped raise awareness that connected cars are potentially vulnerable. Work since then has largely focused on the secure architectural design of automotive systems, but automotive OEMs are increasingly also requiring developers to prove that their software meets the highest standards for security as well as safety.
This webinar will explain the roles that secure application software has to play, and how it can best be developed.
Attendees can expect to gain insights into:
· secure coding best practices,
· security-focused coding standards,
· the use of automated tools in applying those practices and techniques, and
· achieving time and budget targets while improving code security
