WEBINAR ON-DEMAND
Application of IEC 62443 series for components and IACS

With Industry 4.0, cyber-physical systems are connected, and the need of the day is to protect these systems from any security threats generated internally and externally. The ISA/IEC 62443 series defines the guidelines and practices for developing components/devices and IACS. The objective here is to defend against negligent and willful actions to protect devices and facilities. These requirements can be applied to new or existing processes for developing, maintaining, and retiring hardware, software or firmware for new or existing products. The process activities are initiated by identifying the secure components and performing a risk assessment on them regarding security threats while developing and deploying the product.

This webinar will argue that applying a robust and proactive approach in building security into the product is the only way to enhance security assurance. Using security standards like IEC 62443 part 3 and Part 4 along with IEC 61508 functional safety standards ensures that the aspects of safety, as well as security, has been considered with adequate rigour to build a safe and secure product. And it will discuss how an integrated tool suite can make the adoption of such principles as pain-free as possible.
