The LDRA tool suite has been integrated with DDC-I’s DO-178B-certifiable Deos real-time operating system (RTOS). The integrated solution will help developers get to market faster with optimised, robust and certifiable software that meets the most demanding safety critical requirements, including DO-178B Level A, the FAA’s highest level of safety criticality.
The demand for safety-critical software has expanded beyond traditional aerospace and defence applications into markets such as telecom, power plants, medical, automotive, and industrial control. LDRA’s best-in-class tools are a perfect complement to DDC-I’s proven safety-critical RTOS and tool suite. This integration gives developers across a broad range of mission-critical applications the turnkey platform they need to quickly develop, debug, comprehensively test and deploy safety-critical software that can be readily certified to the most demanding requirements.
The LDRA tool suite has already been used extensively with Deos on a custom basis for a number of safety-critical projects, including air data units, navigation systems and ground-based augmentation GPS systems. This commercially available off-the-shelf integration delivers an even higher level of functionality and support, providing a premier platform that reduces the time and cost associated with developing, testing, deploying, and certifying safety-critical software.
Deos is the industry’s most robust, highest performance RTOS for the safety-critical market. Featuring deterministic real-time response, the memory-protected RTOS employs patented “slack scheduling” to deliver higher CPU utilisation than any other safety-critical commercial off the shelf (COTS) RTOS. Deos is the only certifiable time and space (T&S) partitioned COTS RTOS built from the ground up for safety-critical applications. Deos also provides the easiest, lowest cost path of any COTS RTOS to DO-178B Level A certification, the highest level of safety criticality.
LDRA and DDC-I have released a turnkey safety-critical software platform certifiable to DO-178B Level A, the FAA’s most demanding level. The integration will enable developers to quickly develop, debug and comprehensively test their applications, reducing development time and cost.
LDRA and DDC-I are collaborating to provide an integrated safety-critical software platform using DDC-I’s Deos RTOS and LDRA’s tool suite. Aimed at achieving certification faster, the integrated solution will target safety-critical requirements up to DO178B Level A.
